Europa Universalis 4 Patch Notes 1.1.2

When it comes to strategy titles - or just PC titles as a whole, these days - there's always work to be done post release. A 1.0 version typically indicates a product shipped to the consumer in a fully fleshed-out and finished state. But when it comes to a strategy game, it's typically only the beginning.

Europa Universalis IV v1.1.1 All No-DVD [Fairlight] More Europa Universalis IV Fixes. Europa Universalis IV v1.0 All No-DVD [Fairlight]. Patch 1.2 was released on September 24th, 2013. New Features. Added new ideagroups for Anatolian Beyliks, Marathas, Taungu, Rajput States, Granada, Papal States.

And it's no different for Europa Universalis IV, either. Released over 3 years ago now, the title is still receiving updates to help balance out its ongoing conflicts. As time goes on, we'll likely see more updates and changes push the game into an even more polished state - until the inevitable Europa Universalis V arrives. So with an ever-growing patch sequence, here's an ever-growing chronicle of its changes;

Adding an additional decimal point is usually executed to diminish the hopes and dreams of those anticipating an update of much greater value. With Mandate of Heaven having just released, there's bound to be a bug or two that managed to hold off flying into Paradox's zapper.

In light of that, here's the fresh new bug kills straight from the documentation;

Changelog:

  • Added extra effects and checks for some random events for Celestial Empires.
  • Fixed problem that made the Three Mountain Achievement demand that all your subjects be tributaries instead of all subjects being anything but tributaries.
  • Noble disaster will no longer change government for Shogunate or Daimyo.
  • Fixed Personal Union not breaking upon independence war when in consort regency.
  • Countries now get Parliaments when switching to government forms that have them enabled.
  • Fixed faulty trigger in Nanban Incident that made it unable to trigger.
  • Fixed missing icon/no bonus for Eight Banners Manchu national idea

It's Mandate of Heaven time! After the extensiveness of Patch 1.19, it stood to reason that Paradox was using it to lay the foundation of the landmark 1.20 update - which turned out to be full-fledged expansion.

With a whole paid expansion worth of changes, you can likely understand why we haven't listed them down below. It makes for an incredibly lengthy read and one we can't really recommend for anyone other than the hardcore strategists or those with a lengthy, boring lunch hour.

Read on here, and good luck.

Just a few weeks after our tentative look at the 1.19 patch, the 'Denmark Update' has gone live - and there's no zone 'Fort of Control' revamp! Fire up your client of choice and let the content flow through your internet tubes. There's an in-game music selector, larger Ethiopia and an improved 'Scandinavian Experience'. Here's the lot;

Expansion Features
  • John mayer pdf file. Mediterranean Christians who were mistakenly not already in the Barbary Navy can now be added to the Barbary Navy by decision

  • Maphacks enabled for all nations

  • Your admirals have finally finished a basic fleet maneuvers class, allowing them to execute such complex operations as 'Look for other boats and shoot them' without your oversight

  • Added Unconditional Surrender, which encourages the Franco-Austrian axis to at least use lube this time

  • Ami rowe mm5 jukebox manual ami. Spies have been retrained to wander your enemies' streets asking other people if they want to be a spy, too. Once they have enough spies in their spy gang, they will be able to do spy stuff.

  • Spies can take new actions like opening back doors during sieges, telling foreign populations how being in the army is shit, and leaving bad reviews of foreign merchants on Yelp

  • Trade companies no longer make an effort to genocide local cultures in colonized provinces, after realizing that doing so meant they needed to actually hire white people to collect the ivory for them

  • You may now rent out your armies as condottieri to other nations, spilling the blood of your men for a couple extra temples in the middle of nowhere, making their deaths even more pointless than that time you fought Muscovy for eight years over one province

  • Able-bodied men in coastal provinces you occupy have won a free cruise across the Atlantic aboard one of your many, fine naval combat vessels (Offer is non-optional)

  • Your own diplomats may now wander the streets to keep an eye out for enemy diplomats asking people to join their spy club

  • All ships have been equipped with short-range teleporters for reassigning command staff when not at port

#############
#############

  • Added the 'Historically passive-aggressive toward each other because of that one thing that happened at the Christmas Party (You know what you did, Provence)' tag that will encourage countries to neither become true friends or true enemies

  • The game now recognizes that 1821 is just a number

  • Pirates are now really good at Monopoly

  • Replaced Distant Overseas with States and Territories, because come on, your glorious empire can't truly be bothered to set up a functioning administration in Loango. Send Chad to do it. Hey Chad! We're making you a Royal Governor! Yeah, you can hire.. let's say six guys. We just need you to set up an office and make it look official. Be careful of the locals. And also malaria.

  • Added a Corruption mechanic. We'll take it out again for a small fee. Would be a shame if something happened to that sprawling, mercantilist empire of yours..

Gamebalance
  • Primitives who have independently invented gunpowder and oligarchy and shit no longer need to high-five a white guy before understanding how to apply these concepts, thereby going ahead and developing an advanced government

  • In addition to pointing a cannon at a weaker neighbor and making them give you shit, you may now point a cannon at a weaker neighbor and make them give your vassals shit

  • Transfer Trade Power no longer costs a relations slot, and thus might actually sometimes be used by someone at some point

  • Vassals can no longer aid your embargo of a nation if they don't know who the fuck they are or what they even look like

  • Explorers have been instructed not to check a whole region of the continent off the list just because they landed on the beach and had a good look around in every direction.

  • Merchant Republics have been heavily nerfed, but they get more boat guys now so it's okay

  • Parliaments now contribute to corruption and accept bribes, moving EU4 closer to total realism

  • Added Fetishism religion. Fetishists can sort by category and have -75% to the time it takes to clear browser history

  • Enemy nations can now encourage rebels to revolt even if they didn't really feel like it and were thinking about just reading some pamphlets instead

  • Subjects will now be more tolerant of taxation without representation. Unfortunately, this change was not implemented in time to save the real British Empire

  • Trade conflict CB has been heavily nerfed. But Merchant Republics get more boat guys now so it's okay

  • Something something Victory Cards.. yeah, no one outside the dev multiplayer stream cares about Victory Cards

  • Villagers have finally put their feet down and expressed that they don't really appreciate when their lands are razed

  • The French have discovered that the English Channel wasn't nearly as deep as they originally thought

#############
#############
  • After 'IT'S JUST A PRANK, BRO!' didn't go over very well, the AI has instructed their pirates to stop targeting allied nations' nodes

  • AI allies can no longer be bothered to aid you in a rebellion unless they're really bored and didn't have anything better to do today

  • AI subjects are less likely to give military access to your sworn enemies after being offered some Turkish confections and a pop-up book about friendship

  • The AI is less likely to decide to build 14 Textile Manufactories and go broke in the middle of a war

  • The AI no longer pays for border and capital forts, which is totally a better solution than teaching them how to economy

#############

  • More development, provinces, and unpronounceable tags added to Ireland

  • Greatly revised the map of Europe and fucked up all the culture groups

  • Miao culture is now in the Chinese group instead of the Cat group. We have the humans fooled.. for now

  • Added Scottish Highlands culture and country tag. We were going to add two new tags, but realized there can be only one

  • Now possible to form Iceland if you own only Iceland, because literally any other province would make a better capital in the 1400s

  • Welsh culture is now in the British group. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
